Set Up Co-Registrant Permissions
You can set up a Baby Registry so that another person can edit the registry without giving them access to your Amazon account. You can add or update your co-registrant permissions in registry settings.
To give a co-registrant permission to view and edit your Baby Registry when logged into their own Amazon.com account:
- Go to your Baby Registry.
- Select Settings.
- Select Add a co-registrant.
- Enter a valid email address for your co-registrant. The email address should be the same email address linked with the co-registrant's Amazon.com account.
- Select Save Changes.
This will update your information and send an email to your co-registrant with instructions on how to join the registry.
If your co-registrant doesn't receive an email, double-check the email address you entered and try to resend the email to them. Ask them to check that their email filters allow messages from Amazon.com.
For your co-registrant to join the registry:
- Open the email invitation to join the registry and click Accept Request.
- When logged into the co-registrant's Amazon account, click Accept Invitation. This step completes the process for the co-registrant to join the registry.
Note:
- Only the primary registry owner may redeem the Completion Discount, claim the Welcome Box, and redeem electronic gift cards, group gift contributions, and Diaper Fund contributions.
- If the co-registrant has a Prime account, but the primary registry owner does not, it's highly recommended to set the Prime account as the primary owner of the Baby Registry so you get the most of your Registry benefits.
- Once the co-registrant has successfully joined the registry, you can swap ownership of the registry in the registry Settings by following the instructions below:
- As the Primary registrant, click Settings from the top navigation of the registry.
- Under the names of the registrants, click Swap registry owners. This will make the co-registrant the primary registry owner.
- Registry ownership may be swapped to change ownership at any time that the registry is active.
- Note that changing the names in each of the primary and co-registrant fields will not swap ownership. You must go through each of the steps described above to swap registrants.
