Maintaining Your Fire TV Stick 4K

Do not use your Fire TV Stick 4K or Alexa Voice Remote (collectively referred to as "device" or "devices") near sinks or other wet locations. Take care not to spill any food or liquid on your devices and do not put any object filled with a liquid, such as a vase, on or near your devices. If your Fire TV Stick 4K does get wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the device to dry completely before plugging it in again. If your Alexa Voice Remote does get wet, use rubber gloves to remove the batteries and wait for the remote to dry completely before re-inserting the batteries. Do not attempt to dry your devices with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair dryer. Do not drop, throw, disassemble, crush, bend, puncture, or paint your Amazon Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote.

Only handle your devices with clean hands. Clean your devices only with a soft cloth that is slightly damp with water and a touch of rubbing alcohol; be careful not to wipe it with anything abrasive or to use any harsh chemicals. Don't expose your devices to steam or extreme heat or cold. For example, do not install your device near any heat sources such as space heaters, heater vents, radiators, stoves, or other things that produce heat. Store your Alexa Voice Remote in cool, dust-free areas out of direct sunlight.

Use of third-party accessories may impact your devices' performance. In limited circumstances, use of third party accessories may void your devices' limited warranty. In addition, use of incompatible third-party accessories may lead to damage to device or the accessory. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your devices.

Do not force the power adapter into a power outlet. If the power adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately. Do not plug multiple electrical devices into the same wall socket. Overloading a socket can cause it to overheat and may result in a fire.

Your Fire TV Stick 4K does not have an on/off button. If you wish to stop power from flowing into the Fire TV Stick 4K, unplug the power adapter. Only use the included power adapter with your device. Do not force the power adapter into a power outlet. If the power adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately. Do not plug multiple electric devices into the same wall socket. Overloading a socket can cause it to overheat and may result in a fire

Your device may get hot during normal use. If you find the Fire TV Stick 4K has become hot to the touch, unplug power and let it cool down for a few minutes before handling.

Battery Safety

This product contains alkaline. The remote for your Fire TV Stick 4K requires batteries for use. Only use new 1.5V alkaline or 1.2 NiMH rechargeable AAA sized batteries. Never mix old and new batteries. Keep all of the batteries out of the reach of children. Do not open, disassemble, puncture, cut, bend, shred, or heat the batteries and do not allow metal objects to touch the battery terminals on the remote as they can become hot and cause burns. Remove all batteries if they are worn out or before storing your remote for an extended period of time. Dispose of all batteries in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and do not dispose of batteries by throwing them into a fire. If any batteries begin to leak, take steps to prevent the fluid from coming into direct contact with skin or clothes as the fluid could be corrosive and may be toxic. Remove the batteries and clean the battery compartment in accordance with the battery manufacturer's recommendations.

Other Safety Considerations

  1. A small percentage of people may be susceptible to blackouts or seizures (even if they have never had one before) when exposed to flashing lights or light patterns, such as when watching video or playing games. If you have experienced seizures or blackouts or have a family history of such occurrences, you should consult a doctor before watching videos or playing games.
  2. Engaging in repetitive motions such as pressing buttons or playing some games may cause you to experience occasional discomfort in your hands, arms, shoulders, neck, or other parts of your body.
  3. Discontinue use of your device and consult a physician if you experience headaches, blackouts, seizures, convulsion, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, involuntary movement, disorientation, or other discomfort. To reduce risk of these symptoms avoid prolonged use, watch your television from a far distance and in a well-lit room, and take frequent breaks.
  4. Handle your device and its accessories with care. Your device or its accessories may have pointed edges which can lead to scratches, cuts, or other physical injury.
  5. Do not touch your Fire TV Stick 4K or any wires connected to your Fire TV Stick 4K during a lightning storm.
  6. Small parts contained in your device and its accessories may present a choking hazard to small children.
  7. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that television should be avoided for infants and children under age 2.
  8. Your device is shipped with an AC adapter. Your device should only be powered using the AC adapter and USB cable included with the device, or another USB cable approved for use with your device, with a compatible AC adapter.
  9. Do not expose adapter to liquids.
  10. If the adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.
  11. Power adapter designed only for use with Fire TV Stick 4K.
  12. Do not force the adapter into a power outlet.

Using Your Fire TV Stick 4K and Alexa Voice Remote Around Other Electronic Devices

The Fire TV Stick 4K and Alexa Voice Remote generate, use, and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with their instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment. External RF signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic operating systems, entertainment systems, and personal medical devices. While most modern electronic equipment is shielded from external RF signals, if in doubt, check with the manufacturer. For personal medical devices (such as pacemakers and hearing aids), consult with your physician or the manufacturer to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF signals.

FCC Compliance

The Fire TV Stick 4K and its related accessories like the adapter and remote comply with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Nevertheless, it is advised to use the Products in such a manner that minimizes the potential for human contact during normal operation. The Fire TV Stick 4K should be installed and operated with at least 20 cm between the radiator and your body.
