Software Updates on Your Echo Frames (2nd Generation) and Smart Glasses with Alexa (3rd Generation)
Your smartphone automatically downloads software updates for Echo Frames (2nd Generation) and Smart Glasses with Alexa (3rd Generation) when connected to the Internet.
When an update is available, it installs the next time your smartphone connects to your smart glasses over Bluetooth, after they've turned off and on.
If you’re still experiencing issues with updating your Smart Glasses with Alexa (3rd Generation), please follow these steps:
- Make sure that your smart glasses are powered on (with temple arms open) and connected to your phone. Keep the Alexa app open.
- Ensure that your smart glasses have at least 50% battery life.
- For the fastest download, avoid using your smart glasses for about 20 minutes:
- Only keep your smart glasses connected to your phone, and disconnect from any other devices.
- Refrain from playing audio or interacting with your smart glasses.
- Check Device Settings to see a confirmation that the software update is complete.
- Restart your smart glasses by closing the temple arms to turn them off, wait two minutes, then open the arms to turn them back on.
- Charge your smart glasses for approximately 15 minutes.
Tip: Make sure that you have the latest version of the Alexa app from your mobile device's app store.
