Set Parental Controls on Fire TV

Turn on parental controls to restrict access to videos, purchases, and certain types of content.

Note: For Echo Show devices, you can find Fire TV Settings in your Echo Show Settings.
  1. Go to Settings from your Fire TV menu.
  2. Select Preferences and then select Parental Controls.
  3. To activate or deactivate parental controls, select the Parental Controls option and enter your PIN.
  4. Select the options that you want to PIN protect. You can turn on or off PIN protections for the available options on your device.
Depending on the options you turn on, you have to enter your PIN before watching videos in restricted categories, purchasing content, or opening apps.
