Delete Photos Shared with Your Alexa Contacts
You can delete photos or remove shared photos using the Amazon Photos app.
Use Amazon Photos to:
- Delete shared photos.
- Remove access to shared photos.
When you remove access to a photo, the recipient can no longer access the photo on their Echo device with a screen, Fire TV device, or Amazon Photos app. You may also still have a copy of the original file in your Amazon Photo library.
When you delete a photo, you remove access from all recipients of that photo and delete the copy from your Amazon Photo library. Recipients of that photo can no longer access it on their Echo device with a screen, Fire TV device, or Amazon Photos app.
Note: Deleting photos from the Amazon Photos app won’t delete the shared photo entirely if the recipient has downloaded a copy to their device, or shared it with someone else.
