Earning 5% Back with Prime Visa
Prime Visa offers cardmembers with an eligible Prime membership 5% back on purchases made at Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh, and Whole Foods Market. Cardmembers also earn 5% on Chase Travel purchases with an eligible Prime membership.
If you're already a cardmember, you can check if your card earns 5% back on purchases made at Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh, and Whole Foods Market.
- Go to Your Account
- Select Your Payments.
- Expand the details of your card to see how much you're earning on purchases made at Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and on Chase Travel purchases.
If you're an Amazon Visa cardmember and an invited guest who receives only shipping benefits from another Prime member, your card will still earn 3% back. You can upgrade to 5% by joining Prime or by sharing benefits with an eligible Prime member via an Amazon Household.
Eligible Prime membership only applies to Amazon accounts (and not accounts on any other affiliated websites outside the U.S.) and may include, at Amazon's sole discretion:
- Annual and monthly Amazon Prime subscriptions and members of their Amazon Household (excluding Amazon Prime video subscriptions)
- Members who share Prime benefits via an Amazon Household
- Amazon Family
- Amazon Prime Student
- Trial memberships of annual and monthly Amazon Prime subscriptions and Amazon Prime Student (excluding Amazon Prime video subscriptions)
Your card will go back to earning 3% back on purchases made at Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh, and Whole Foods Market if:
- Your Amazon.com account no longer has an eligible Prime membership.
- You remove the card from your Amazon.com account.
- You close your Amazon.com account.
- You link a different card account to your Prime membership.
- You use your Amazon.com account to apply for another Prime Visa; if you're approved for the new card account, it will earn 5% back at Amazon.com instead.
- You're no longer a member of an Amazon Household with an eligible Prime membership.
- Your rewards points balance will be updated once your transaction posts. Points from returned items are deducted from your rewards balance.
- Whether a purchase earns 3% back or 5% back is determined by your Prime membership status at the time your eligible purchase at Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh, or Whole Foods Market is made. Learn more about the eligibility on Prime Visa and Amazon Visa Offer Details.

- Purchases made at international Whole Foods Market sites
