Pause Your Amazon Prime Membership
You can pause your billing and services for eligible Prime memberships.
If you won't be using your Prime benefits for a while, you can pause your membership. When you pause your membership, we won't bill you at the end of your current billing cycle. You won't have access to your Amazon Prime benefits while your membership is paused, but you can resume your Prime membership at any time at the then current rate for your selected Prime membership plan.
When your membership resumes, your photos will be where you left them.
From the Membership Management section on Prime Central, you can:
- Pause your membership for one month, then it will auto-resume (if you are on a Prime Monthly plan only); OR
- Pause your membership for up to one year and resume manually anytime (if you are on a Prime Monthly or Annual plan only). If your membership has been paused for more than 365 consecutive days, your membership will automatically be canceled; OR
- Cancel your upcoming pause anytime, if you have scheduled one.
Your pause will be effective only after the current billing cycle. Subscriptions tied to your Amazon Prime membership will end when your membership billing is paused.
You are not eligible to pause Prime if you:
- Joined through a third party
- Have a Prime Video only subscription
- Have a Prime Business subscription
- Have a Student Prime membership
- Are on a free trial plan or discounted offer
- Are on the Prime Shipping only plan
