Use Your Echo Device as a Bridge for Ring Smart Lighting

Group Ring Smart Lights together and receive notifications for motion detection using your compatible Echo device as a bridge.

Note: You can use your compatible Echo device as a bridge for Ring Smart Lighting. Compatible devices include:
  • Echo Show 10
  • Echo (4th Generation)
Before you start, set up your Echo device.

To connect Ring Smart Lights directly to your Echo device, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Open Devices .
  3. Select .
  4. Select Add Device .
  5. Under All Devices, select Light.
  6. Select Ring.
    1. If you don't have a Ring account, you receive a prompt to download the Ring app and set up an account.
    2. If you have a Ring account, but haven't set up the Ring skill for Alexa, you receive a prompt to set up the Ring skill.
  7. Follow the steps on-screen to complete set up.
