Using Top Contact for Echo Frames and Smart Glasses with Alexa

To quickly call your top contact, long-press the assigned action button (either front or back) on your 3rd Generation Alexa Smart Glasses.

To quickly call your top contact, long-press the assigned action button (either front or back) on your 3rd Generation Alexa Smart Glasses.

To assign your Top Contact for Smart Glasses with Alexa (3rd Generation):

  1. Open the Alexa App .
  2. Select Devices.
  3. Select your Echo Frames or Carrera Smart Glasses.
  4. Select Custom Shortcuts.
  5. Add Custom Set.
  6. Select Call Top Contact.
  7. Follow the instructions on screen to set up the contact you want to call using this feature.

To assign your Top Contact for Echo Frames (2nd Generation):

  1. Open the Alexa App .
  2. Select Devices.
  3. Go to the Echo & Alexa tab.
  4. Select Echo Frames.
  5. Select Touchpad Press and Hold under the Customization section.
  6. Select Call Top Contact.
  7. Follow the instructions on the screen to assign the contact you want to call using this feature.

Note: The Touchpad Press and Hold gesture on Echo Frames (2nd Generation) can only support either OS assistant or Top Contact.

To replace your Top Contact on Smart Glasses with Alexa (3rd Generation):

  1. Open the Alexa App .
  2. Select Devices.
  3. Select your Echo Frames or Carrera Smart Glasses.
  4. Under Customization in your Settings choose Top Contact.
  5. Select one contact that you would like to assign as your Top Contact.
  6. You should see your new Top Contact in the Customization section in your Device Settings.

Note: Top Contact Calling doesn't currently support International phone numbers outside of the U.S. as the Top Contact.
