Comments, Feedback, and Ratings about Sellers
After you order from a third-party, you can share your experience by leaving comments, feedback, and ratings. You have 90 days from the date of your order to do this.
Only customers who have purchased a product from a seller through Amazon can leave comments, feedback and ratings about the seller.
By using any of these features, you agree to follow these guidelines, which we update from time to time.
Your comments, feedback, and ratings should focus on your buying experience and answer some of the following questions:
- Were you happy with how the seller packaged and shipped your order (for products)?
- Did you receive your order on time and did you receive what you ordered?
- Was the seller professional and was their work of good quality?
- If applicable, did you get good customer service and did the seller fix your issue quickly?
- Would you buy from this seller again?
- What would have improved your experience?
Ratings
You can rate third-party sellers from one to five stars, with five stars being the best. The seller's average rating will appear beside their nameon our site.

We have the right to remove feedback that isn't about your buying experience or that violates one of our guidelines.
Your comments and feedback about sellers should not include the following:
- Promotional content: This includes anything of a promotional nature such as comments about, or links to, other sellers or websites.
- Offensive language: Use helpful and polite language.
- Abusive or illegal content: This includes content encouraging crimes against humanity, racial hatred, or violence. This also includes child pornography or content likely to undermine human dignity.
- Personal information: Don't include details that violate your privacy or the privacy of others. This includes Amazon passwords, payment card numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, or physical addresses.
- Content likely to impede on the intellectual property rights of third parties. This includes photos, articles, and other materials.
- Pricing feedback: This includes feedback about the price of the item or delivery.
- Product reviews: Review products on their product detail page.
- Spam. This includes nonsense, gibberish, or content comprising only random characters, punctuation, and/or symbols.
- Content written in unsupported languages. Write reviews in the supported languages of the Amazon site where they will appear. Learn which languages are supported on this Amazon site.
- Misattributed feedback. This includes feedback that is left for the wrong seller.
- Compensated or misleading feedback. Feedback should reflect your honest opinion. We do not allow fraudulent or fake feedback that misleads other customers or materially misrepresent your purchasing experience. We also do not allow feedback that is created, edited, or removed in exchange for compensation. Compensation includes cash, discounts, free products, gift cards, and refunds.
- The following are examples of seller feedback that we don't allow and will remove:
- Feedback by someone who has a direct or indirect financial interest in the product.
- Feedback by someone perceived to have a close personal relationship with the product's owner, author, or artist.
- Feedback by the product manufacturer, posing as an unbiased shopper.
- Feedback in exchange for a monetary reward.
- Negative feedback from a seller on a competitor's product.
- Positive feedback from a seller in exchange for receiving positive feedback from them.
Consequences of Violations
Violations of our guidelines make the community less trustworthy, safe, and useful. If someone violates the guidelines, we may:
- Remove their content
- Limit their ability to use community features
- Remove related products
- Suspend or terminate their account
- Withhold payments
If we find usual reviewing behavior, we might limit your ability to submit reviews. If we reject or remove your review for a violation of these guidelines, you won't be allowed to review that product again.
If we determine the misconduct violates applicable laws, we may take legal action. Legal action may result in civil and criminal penalties.
Reporting Seller Rules Violations
To report seller rules violations, select the Report questionable activity button in the seller email or the Report this seller button in your Message Center. To report seller rules violations taking place outside of the Message Center, contact us.
