Amazon Astro Isn't Recognizing My Face

Try setting up Visual ID again to fix face recognition issues.

If Astro isn't recognizing you, make sure:

  • You're not too far or too close to Astro (5-10ft. away is ideal).
  • There isn't more than one face in Astro's view.
  • Astro's microphones and cameras are turned on.

If Astro is still having problems recognizing your face, try deleting your visual ID profile and set it up again.

  1. Swipe down from the top of Astro's screen and select Settings.
  2. Select Profiles then choose the profile name you're having trouble with.
  3. Tap the (-) icon to remove the Visual ID profile.
  4. After deleting, tap the (+) icon to create a Visual ID again.
