Amazon Physical Store Return Policies

You can return most items purchased at an Amazon Physical Store for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. To determine your return options for Amazon.com purchases, use our Online Return Center.

Physical Store Returns Policy

Items purchased at an Amazon Physical Store can be returned within 30 days for a full refund, subject to our other listed return guidelines listed below.

  • Gift Cards are not returnable (except as required by law). Please see here for more information.
  • Magazines/ newspapers are not returnable.
  • Grocery items and alcohol are not returnable to Amazon but may be refunded or replaced.
  • All Hallmark branded items are not returnable.
  • Gift recipients can return a gift with the order.
  • Some returns made in-store may be refunded as a Gift Card. See an in-store associate for more details.

To Return an Item you purchased from Amazon Grocery Store:

If you linked your account at the time of purchase from an Amazon Grocery store:

  1. Visit Your Orders.
  2. Find the order that has the item you'd like to return and View Details.
  3. Return to the store where the item was purchased with your receipt and see an associate with your Order Details.

If you didn't link your account at the time of purchase from an Amazon Grocery store and paid with Credit Card, Debit Card, Tap to Pay:

Return to the store where the item was purchased with your receipt and see an associate.

Note: If you've paid for an item with cash or SNAP EBT benefits, return to the store where the item was purchased with your receipt.

To Return an Item you purchased from Amazon.com

  1. Start your return in our Online Return Center.
  2. If an item is eligible for return to an Amazon store, you will have the option to select Amazon Store Dropoff.
  3. If an item is eligible for return but cannot be returned to an Amazon store, you will be presented with other return options.
Note: Amazon Physical Stores may not be able to accept in store returns for certain items you purchased from Amazon.com (for example, items greater than a certain size or that don't meet safe to ship standards). For additional information on Amazon.com returns, see our Returns Policy.
