IEEE 1725 Battery Safety Statements

The rechargeable battery in your Amazon Tap should be replaced only by an Amazon authorized service provider. To prevent damage to your Amazon Tap or injury to yourself or others:

  • Do not disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, or shred your Amazon Tap or the battery in your Amazon Tap.
  • Do not modify, remanufacture or attempt to insert foreign objects into your Amazon Tap or its battery, or expose your Amazon Tap or its battery to water or other liquids, fire, explosion, or other hazards.
  • Only use the battery specified for your Amazon Tap model.
  • Only use the battery for your Amazon Tap with a charging system that has been qualified by Amazon for use with the Amazon Tap. Use of an unqualified battery with your Amazon Tap or an unqualified charger, may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or other hazard.
  • Do not short circuit the battery in your Amazon Tap or allow metallic conductive objects to contact the battery terminals.
  • The battery for your Amazon Tap should only be replaced with another battery that has been qualified by Amazon. Use of an unqualified battery may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or other hazard.
  • Batteries removed from your Amazon Tap should be promptly disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
  • Use or handling of batteries by children should be supervised.
  • Avoid dropping your Amazon Tap or its batteries. If your Amazon Tap or the battery in your Amazon Tap is dropped, particularly on a hard surface, and you suspect damage, contact Amazon customer service for instruction.
  • Improper battery use may result in a fire, explosion, or other hazard.
  • Your Amazon Tap should only be connected via its USB connector to products that are designed to be compatible with, or have completed, the USB-IF compliance program.
  • Your Amazon Tap should be charged only in temperatures that range from 32° to 95° Fahrenheit (0° to 35° Celsius).
