Business account addresses

Administrators can add and edit multiple shipping addresses to support 1 person or multiple people in a business.

If a group uses individual addresses, requisitioners in that group can add a shipping address during checkout, or to their address book under Your Account.

If a group uses shared addresses, requisitioners in that group cannot add a shipping address during checkout. The administrator can add shipping addresses from Business Settings and the checkout pages. Once added, these addresses will be available to everyone in the group. Setting up shared addresses helps to prevent delivery errors, makes the ordering process easier, and gives you better control of shipping locations.

When adding a new address, you can also add delivery preferences.

Note:
  • You can use Amazon Hub services (such as Amazon Locker and Amazon Counter) and set a pickup point for individual addresses only. Shared addresses do not support Amazon Hub or pickup services.

Within the Addresses and delivery preferences settings, account administrators can also view the Account Locations tab.

  • The Locations tab displays a list of all the locations (for example, a building or campus) used in your individual and shared addresses, sorted by shipment volume.
  • Account administrators can edit the delivery preferences for each location. For example, delivery times, drop off information, pallet preferences, and observed holidays. The preferences apply to Amazon Logistics deliveries.
  • The locations list will update regularly, based on the shipment volume to each location, and the addresses on Your Account. Your address settings do not change based on the locations list.
  • If you update the preferences for a location, it will update for all groups within your organization that ship to that location.

Upload addresses in bulk

Administrators can add multiple addresses to the shared addresses business groups simultaneously using a Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) file. Administrators of multiple groups are able to upload addresses to their groups at the same time. Each separate file supports up to 1,000 addresses. However, you may add any number of addresses to a group.

  1. Select Business Settings.
  2. Select Addresses. Ensure that you are viewing a group for which you are an administrator.
  3. On the next page, select the Add an address button to open a drop-down menu.
    1. To upload addresses to 1 group, select Upload addresses for the current group.
    2. To upload addresses to multiple groups, select Upload addresses to multiple groups.
  4. Download the template.
  5. Add your data to the template in the appropriate fields marked as mandatory.
    1. When adding addresses to multiple groups, download the available groups' file and copy the group IDs. To make an address visible to more groups, duplicate the address line and enter the other group IDs.
    2. If you’re copying and pasting data, use match destination formatting to ensure accuracy.
  6. Save the edited template as an .xlsx file.
  7. Return to your web browser and select Browse.
  8. Find and select the edited template file.
  9. Select Upload.
  10. The page will tell you when your upload finishes. If any address failed to upload, you'll receive a link to a report that explains what went wrong.

Note: To remove all addresses from your shared addresses list, select Addresses. Then, select the Actions button and Remove all addresses.

Download addresses in bulk

Administrators can also download addresses from the shared addresses business groups simultaneously through a Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) file. Administrators of multiple groups are able to download addresses to their groups at the same time. Administrators will be able to use this file to re-upload to another group. To download addresses in bulk as an Excel file, complete the following steps:

  1. Select Business Settings.
  2. Select Addresses. Ensure that you are viewing a group for which you are an administrator.
  3. On the next page, select the Actions button at the top right to open a drop-down menu.
  4. To download addresses, select Download addresses for the current group.
  5. You will receive an email with a link when the file is ready for download.
